What do I need to make a successful video identification?

In order to have a successful video identification, we suggest that you follow the recommendations below:

  • Smartphone, tablet or computer with webcam and microphone
  • Active phone number to receive text message
  • Quiet, undisturbed place to receive a private video call
  • An stable internet connection
  • Time to perform the identification, around 10 minutes
  • High resolution webcam or cell phone camera
  • And of course, a valid identification document
How can I start a biometry?

If you are filling out the application form on your computer, scan the QR code you will see on your screen to initiate the identification and follow the instructions. If you are using a mobile device, you will not need to scan any QR code, simply follow the steps to successfully complete the information.

When can I start the video-identification process?

You can start biometrics at any time

In which language should I do the video-identification?

These are our schedules to perform your video-identification process according to your preferred language:

  • English, German, French and Italian at any time (from Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 22:00 CET)
  • Spanish, between 15:00 – 18:00 CET (from Monday to Saturday)

Where do I find the Statement?

In your E-banking or Mobile app you can find all the information you need about your positions, bookings, performance and more. You just have to access the Portfolios section, select your account and that’s it!

What needs to be done to change Personal information?

You need to enter E-banking or Mobile App and use the Messages section to request change of personal information. You should detail the new address, country of residence, phone number or email and we will proceed with the changes

How can I get my tax documentation?

The tax documentation is generated once a year and automatically uploaded to your documents section in the e-banking

03. Payments & Transfers

How can I make a payment from my account?
  • If you need to make a Payment for an amount less than 25,000 CHF. Click on the Payment section in your E-banking or Mobile app and in three simple steps you can confirm the payment
  • If you need to make a transfer for an amount greater than 25,000 CHF, you need to enter E-banking or Mobile App and use the Messages section to request the New Payment
  • This process is only available for transfers to the same account holder
How much does it cost to make a payment?

Making a payment costs 10 CHF, 10 EUR, or 10 USD

How many transfers can I make?

There is no limit for the number of transfers that you can make. However, you need to consider that the maximum amount you can transfer through the e-banking is CHF 25’000 per transaction and CHF 50’000 per month. In case you need to make bigger payments, you may request so through the secure messaging system available in the Messages section of the e-banking and mobile App

04. Trading

How can I place a trade?

Placing a trade with New Gen is very easy, you just need to follow these steps:

1. Login to the E-banking or Mobile App, and select the Trading section
2. Select the type of trade you want to place (Buy or Sell)
3. Find the instrument you want to trade by entering the ISIN or security name in the search box
4. Once you have selected the instrument, select the current account you want to use, the quantity you want to trade, the execution type, and the limit/trigger price (this does not apply if you are placing the order “At Market”)
5. Review the details of your order, and submit it
6. Once you have submitted the order, you can check the status in the Trading Overview

What type of securities can I trade?
  • You can trade Equities, Mutual Funds and ETFs through our digital platforms
  • You can also trade Bonds, Preferred Shares, Options, FX forwards, and Structured Products. To do so, just contact us through the e-banking
What type of orders can I place?

At market, limited, stop-loss, stop-limit

What is the maximum period that I can place a limited, stop-loss, stop-limit or order for?

The maximum period that you can place a limited, stop-loss, stop-limit or order is up to 90 days

How much does it cost to make a trade?

The fee will always be 0.25% regardless of what you invest in. Easy, right?

Here is a simple example:

  • Siemens 10.000 EUR                    It costs you 25 EUR
  • Nestle 50.000 CHF                       It costs you 125 CHF
  • Apple 100.000 USD                      It costs you 250 USD

06. Lending

How can I apply for financing?

If you want a loan or line of credit, you need to log in to your E-banking or mobile app and use the Messages section. There you can select the option Financing request”

What type of financing can I get?

You can apply for a Credit Line or a Loan

How much financing can I apply for?

The type of financing that we offer is Lombard. This means that we will use the investments that you hold with us as collateral (guarantee). Since each asset has a different guarantee value, the amount of financing you can get will the depend on the type of investments you currently have and the type of investments you want to make

How much does financing cost?

The cost of financing is Base Rate + 2.50% annually. We do not charge any Set Up or Renewal fees

What is the base rate applied to my credit line or loan?

The base rate we use is Libor. You can find more information about this rate here

07. Digital Platforms

What platforms do I have available?

At New Gen you have at your disposal:

  • E-banking and mobile app, which is available for both Android and iOS
  • BBVA Access Key
What do I need to access the digital platforms?

To access of the digital platforms all you need is:

  • An e-banking contract
  • A username and password
  • The BBVA CH Access Key
How do I access e-banking?

Access to your E-banking account is very simple

  1. Go to bbva.ch
  2. Select the Enter option
  3. Complete the information requested with the data you received in the welcome letter to New Gen.
