What is the minimum amount I need to deposit to open an account?

To open an account you need a minimum amount of CHF 100’000, EUR 100’000, or USD 100’000.

Is it necessary for me to travel to Zurich in order to open an account with BBVA?

You can do the whole process from home. We use video identification and digital signature systems that will allow you to securely sign all the required documentation within a few minutes.

How can I get my account movements?

In your E-banking or Mobile app, you can find all the information you need about your positions, bookings, performance, and more.

You just have to access the Portfolios section, select your account and that’s it!

If you need to change personal information such as:

How can I get my tax report?

The system automatically generates your annual tax report and uploads it to your documents section in the e-banking.

How can I get the advices of my account's transactions?

These documents are automatically generated after every transaction and upload to your documents section in the e-banking.

03. Payments & Transfers

How can I make a payment from my account?

If you need to make a payment for an amount less than 25,000 CHF. Click on the Payment section in your E-banking or Mobile app and in three simple steps you can confirm the payment.

If you need to make a payment for an amount greater than 25,000 CHF, please contact your Relationship Manager.

How much does it cost to make a payment?

To get information on our costs and fees, please contact your relationship manager.

How many transfers can I make?

There is no limit for the number of transfers that you can make. However, you need to consider that the maximum amount you can transfer through the e-banking is CHF 25’000 per transaction and CHF 50’000 per month and your account can never be left with a value of less than 100.000 CHF. In case you need to make bigger payments, please contact your relationship manager.

04. Trading

What kind of investment services would you have access to?

How can I place a trade?

Placing a trade with BBVA Switzerland is very easy, you just need to follow these steps:

  1. Login to the E-banking or Mobile App, and select the Trading section
  2. Select the type of trade you want to place (Buy or Sell)
  3. Find the instrument you want to trade by entering the ISIN or security name in the search box
  4. Once you have selected the instrument, select the current account you want to use, the quantity you want to trade, the execution type, and the limit/trigger price (this does not apply if you are placing the order “At Market”)
  5. Review the details of your order, and submit it
  6. Once you have submitted the order, you can check the status in the Trading Overview.

  • You can trade Equities, Mutual Funds and ETFs through our digital platforms.

What type of orders can I place?

At market, limited, stop-loss, stop-limit.

What is the maximum period that I can place a limited, stop-loss, stop-limit or order for?

Up to 90 days.

How can I open a new wallet?

Can I have more than one wallet?

At the moment this option is not available.

What cryptocurrencies can I operate with?

At the moment, you can buy and sell Bitcoin, and we will soon be adding more cryptocurrencies.

How much does it cost to buy and sell Bitcoin?

Can I receive Bitcoin from a wallet that I have in another institution?

What platforms do I have available?
  • E-banking and mobile app, which is available for both Android and iOS.
  • BBVA Access Key.
What do I need to access the digital platforms?

All you need is an e-banking contract, a username and password, and the BBVA CH Access Key.

How do I access e-banking?

Access to your E-banking account is very simple

  1. Go to bbva.ch and Select the option Online banking
  2. Complete the information requested with the data sent by your relationship manager when opening the account.

Access to your Mobile App is very simple.

  1. Download the app from your Google Play or Apple Store
