Europe and medical cannabis

In the case of Europe, it is expected to see unprecedented growth from 2020 to 2025, thanks to changes in legislation and new studies that highlight benefits for other conditions that can be improved with the use of cannabis, such as anxiety, which increases the demand for the product.

The country that stands out thanks to its extensive market is Germany. It is followed by Italy, Denmark, Poland and Austria.

Asia: an investment opportunity

While several Asian countries are on the path to legalizing the use of medical cannabis, the industry certainly has high hopes, with countries like China and Japan with a large elderly population that could boost this industry.

Among the countries that have recently changed their legislation to make way for medical cannabis and its benefits are Thailand, Israel and South Korea.

A way to go

This industry could become one of the most lucrative in the financial market. However, the road to legalization that allows this development is long and the stigmas related to the use of this plant are still present, which can impact its development.
