BBVA in Switzerland promotes open innovation
BBVA Switzerland backs the activities of Redesigning Financial Services think tank, an independent research platform to help financial service providers navigate the digital revolution in financial services.
Redesigning Financial Services (RFS) is an independent think tank founded by the Institute for Customer Insight at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management at the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, and EY. The RFS mission is to accelerate the structural transformation in the financial services industry in the interests of the customer.
BBVA Switzerland is playing an active role in Switzerland innovation ecosystem for financial services promoting the idea of multi-channel collaboration an open innovation. We are increasingly engaged with the digital startup community, and playing a major role fostering innovation together with BBVA Group.
Among the activities of the think tank, we are proud to sponsor on May 30th the event: "Silicon Valley meets Paradeplatz: can venture capital serve as a tool for innovation in financial services?" that will take in the city Zurich.
Silicon Valley is synonymous with innovation, change, and disruption. The ideas born there have the potential to transform entire industries – even financial services. Venture capitalists are at the pulse of what works and what doesn't in Fintech. This unique event brings to Zurich some of the most renowned Venture Capitalists to discuss the most promising innovations shaping the future of financial services.
Representing BBVA, Marisol Menéndez, Head of Open Innovation and External Ecosystems and Alfonso Gómez, CEO of BBVA Switzerland will speak in the conference and join the discussion panels.
