Andrea Daly Aurenty Journalist

The eSports industry continues to flourish with no sign of slowing down from the momentum it gained during the pandemic. This is reflected in the 2022 report from Newzoo, a company specializing in data and analysis on video games and eSports, which stated that an audience of 532 million subscribers is expected this year.

Faced with this accelerated growth and the competitive environment of this industry, the competitions become more and more lucrative for the organizers and with a better reward for the winning teams.

In fact, by 2022 revenues of 1.88 billion dollars are estimated.

Organizations within eSports

The leading organizations in the world of eSports are valued at up to $460 million, which has attracted the attention of many low-ranking players to build teams that can compete professionally.

One of the current challenges in this environment is the video game in which the teams play, since the relevance of it could determine the profits. A particular case that has been affected by this issue is OverWatch, while games like League of Legends and Valorant lead the world of eSports.
