bbva.ch security
At BBVA Suiza, we guarantee our customers’ data protection
The BBVA Suiza website, does not recognize in an automatic way any data related to the identity of its visitors. In the E-Banking services, we guarantee the security and confidentiality of any transaction with the necessary identification and authentication of the user in the system, through the request of passwords. There are cases where the user requests information about services or products, or also they might want to communicate claims or particular problems. This is done through sending resident forms within the web of BBVA Suiza. It would be necessary to collect personal data to be able to respond to questions.
In theses cases all data will be treated with total confidentiality, not being available to third parties for purposes other than those for which they have been requested.
Secure connection
For that reason, BBVA Suiza has in place maximum measures of security to guarantee the confidentiality of the communications between the Bank and the client. The transactional services work on a secure server using the TLS protocol (Transport Layer Security), which is always activated when entering the service through the telephone line. The secure server establishes a connection, so the information is transmitted encoded through algorithms of 256 bits. These algorithms assure that the information will only be intelligible between the client’s computer and the bank’s server. In this way, when using the protocol TLS it is guaranteed:
- The client is communicating his data to the central server of BBVA Suiza and not to any other server which may be interposed.
- The data travels in encrypted form between the client and the BBVA Suiza’s central server avoiding its possible reading or manipulation by third parties.
You can check the security of your connections
Through the server address (URL), as in a secure server it begins with https, when normally it would begin with http.
Through an indication in one of the lower corners of the screen of your Internet browser where an entire key appears (instead of a broken one as in any other non secure server) or a closed padlock (instead of open as in any other non secure server).
To ensure the secure connection through the Internet, it is necessary that the Web Browser used by the client is one of the following:
- Chrome 24 or higher.
- Firefox 19 or higher.
- IE 9 or higher.
